Penny, our half-blind Buff orpington, isn't very bright when it comes to going into shelter when it rains... so she got soaked. We brought her in the house and now she is happily cleaning herself! Though, now Gloria and Nellie are outside squawking for her anxiously....

You don't know who Nellie is? THE Nellie?! We rescued her from a home where all her tail feathers were being plucked out by the hens... she wasn't very happy when the lady put on purple stuff on her feathers. Now she lives with us... she does peck Penny occasionly, but yet when we take Penny inside she will freak out! Go to my page for more info on her.

Nice pictures! She sounds like my 2 barred rocks. I go out to check on them when its raining, I'll peek in the hen house and its empty because they are outside. Granted, it was only a lite shower and not pouring but it is still winter and I don't want my girls to get sick..
