But Im not complaining. East of me towards Flagler they have gotten nearly a foot of rain. I think here, according to my buckets filling up, we've gotten 6-7 inches of rain in the last few days. Its been a steady rain, sometimes a little strong, but mostly just solid rain. We were so dry; I think it only rained here twice since January. I was watering my plants nearly every day, just to barely maintain them. So its really great to see this rain filling up the lakes. Looks like we'll have rain for several more days, too. Chickies are just soaked, they are so funny, they dont care if they get wet.

I figured while it was going to rain for a while, Id send out my mower to get new blades, change the oil, and just get a yearly "check up", because I know once this rain starts, Ill be very busy mowing. And hopefully, when this rain passes on, the flowers will start blooming again.

I know what you mean.
we have gotten almost a foot of rain over the past few days. My chickens are running around soaking wet, but I can see grass starting to come up, time to get the mower ready.
Come on Rain we need some more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's raining here too, for the last couple of days. i am VERY happy about it! since the beginning of spring we have had NO rain and the poor parched earth thirsted for water to grow her plants. we should have had leaves budding last week, but nada. there was even a burn ban due to the hot, dry weather. a small spark could have set the town in flames!

since the first sprinkle the trees have EXPLODED and we have green grass poking out from underneath the yellow dry grass. the quails are enjoying the cool damp weather, dust bathing all day. our male, batman has been crowing away, too.

i am glad our drought ended. but the drought had good things about it, too. we've gotten into the habit of recycling our cardboard rather than burning it!

I also live in Florida and am sick of the rain. Mainly because main raod that is used to get to my house has been washed out and now we have to take the long way home.

OMG I am so sick of the rain. It has been raining here for 4 straight days. My 3 yr old ds is going bonkers being kept in the house - and so am I!!! I lost 5 birds in the last few days, my coop is a disgusting pig slop, I put all my remaining cooped birds up in cages today to get them off the mud. My coop is completely covered in tarps (it's 70x26) but it's just been too wet and my tarps are leaking everywhere now.

Supposed to be going to Walmart this evening so I will have to get more/better tarps so I can start drying out. This is rediculous. I just finally got things dried out from when one of my automatic waterers overflowed and flooded my coop (don't ask)!

24.5 inches of rain in just less than 98 hours (4 days). I'm so tired of rain. Our roof just started to show signs of leaking and I have waves complete with white caps in the backyard! I'm striving to complete the arc I was instructed to build. So far there's room enough for my 4 dogs, 2 cats, 1 lovebird, several fish and 9 girls. Geez, I hope there's room in there for me and my DW. Oh I forgot my neighbors want their own level so they can fit their 6 dogs and 1 cat too. I might as well keep building 'cause the more I build the more my neighbors want in. Anyone else?
