Do you think chickens like rain on their feathers? Do you think chickens like any type of water on their feathers?

Our chickens don't like water on them. They will tolerate a light to moderate rain in order to stay out ranging. It takes a bit to get them to run for shelter.

Nope , mine don’t mind a few drops but when it rains they are under the roof watching the crazy ducks

I think if it is a warm rain, some like to stay and watch for worms that come up

We have a huge amount of rain coming up from the south, this afternoon and then again on Thursday. It was raining the day we went to pick up our girls. We were told "don't let the chickens get wet." But they did get damp on the ride from Richmond to Suffolk, about 3 hours. It wasn't cold or hot. I worry, I am a worrier. I know, they are birds and they have instincts. So... should I just let them choose whether to get wet or stay dry. What if they get wet and it turns really cold? Won't they get sick? Why did the sellers tell us not to let the girls get wet? I need some reassurance. This is probably common sense, right?
