I've raised up 14 quail from my own eggs and from purchased day olds. They are now about 3-4 months old and have not laid a single egg between them. I have raised quail for about 3 years now, but I'm new to brooding/hatching so I haven't had this problem before. I have been feeding them my usual feed so have no idea why they aren't laying anything. It is winter here though and my 2 laying hens haven't laid anything for ages either. Normally I'd get eggs all year round just less in winter but now I'm not getting anything for months.

They could be needing a higher % feed if it is really low... you can supplement with seed and such to help boost the egg production back into swing..
I give mine 24% and wild bird seed from time to time.
Also if there are too many males in the pin they may take a little longer to start(I had 50 in each pen and alot were Males so it took mine way longer to start)

I would agree that it's probably the lack of light. They need more light to trigger their bodies and tell them it's time to lay. Your older hens may just be getting to the point where they don't lay much anymore. I believe most quail only lay well for about 2 years.

These ones are all only about 3-4 months old, I slaughtered all my old quail I just kept and hatched their eggs. Males aren't a problem either I have one male per 6 hens in both cages. Must be that I hatched them at just the wrong time that the daylight hours got too short before they were mature enough to lay eggs. Would LED strip lighting sufficient light for them at night time?

Pretty sure it's a lighting issue.

Led strip should work as many people use Christmas lights. I'm using an led strip but I haven't kept the quail through winter yet....
