raising a short faced pigeon from hatch?

Agggh omydfgv"__#_!(-&"" I hate my family sometimes so our car broke down 4 hrs from home leaving us no heat a disabled person and 6 f#$_ing plus a baby pigeon. Well we made it home but the baby didn't seem keen ke eat on the ride and is now looking like he has a empty crop as he gets back up to temp in the incubator. So anyone know how long such a young baby can go w/out food? Or proper temps. We're looking lethargic and not wanting to eat, even though we haven't eaten since a mouth full at 8 pm. Should I wait till he's sat in the Bator to warm before feeding him or is food most important???
Warm him up first! I think he will be okay on the food part. And makesure when you do feed him that the food is the correct temp, Did you try using your own body heat to help him stay warm?:)

@biophiliac yes he slept on my chest the whole ride, I am worried how the car bouncing and all the noise shook him though. I got some food in him and he's sleeping and warming up in the incubator. I suspect it's the the cold and dry air in general that made him go down hill. He was seemingly fine in the car but he got moved and turned and tilted slot and we couldn't use heat to save energy do all he had was my body heat and the one meal on the way over was in fact cold cause the car was cold.

I don't know if I did but I shall do so I just wieghed him and we got 8 grams post meal which is 2 grams more than when I last wieghed him Monday. I personally need to find the feeding tube cause i feel he's not getting the maximum amount of feed he needs through just spoon feeding. I'm sure if it was legit crop milk it'd be fine. But it's not so I need to get him eating

Ok so a good feeding just now! food is proper temp and got about 3ml in him vs the 4 recomended for a standard baby. But he gave me a huge poop a little bit ago vs 2 tiny ones last night/this morning so is this a sign of constipation or is it just due to the amount his body is taking in to grow and develop? The poo he made a bit ago was literally worth 3 of the tiny poops :/ constipation? Or just less need of intake from not expending energy on warmth(aka from traveling in a cold car with me earlier) he made the tiny poop, fed around a HR after and then produced a large poop quickly after that. The poop looked normal they just vary in size and regularity. Some time he can go poop in between feedings and sometimes he appears to not poop all night, producing one large one upon waking at first large meal of day.

I've never heard of a constipated pigeon, adult or baby.
Also it's been exactly 30 days since his egg was laid and his parents have laid another egg last night. Could I introduce the baby to the nest? Or would they simply attack it for being a strange intruder?

I think it unwise to introduce the baby to the nest.
