Raising Turkeys -advice from professionals only please!

I am pretty new to this 'Turkey' thing....I didn't get my first Turkeys until 1960 when I was 9. Just wanted to say "HI"

to everyone. Everybody keep on posting....The only thing funnier than Turkeys are their Turkey people!!!!!

If you want professional advice, several of the veterinary or agricultural colleges have poultry departments and publish advice on raising turkeys commercially. Since professionals are people who are making money doing what they are doing, it is commercial advice that you are looking for.

My take on the original post is that he's not so much looking for professional or commercial advice, as just basic, correct and sensible advice from those who have done it, without having to wade through a bunch of posts that talk about the best names for a birdie, what treats to give, or how to make housepets out of livestock. I'd be happy to help if he's still around, but for the most part he's out of luck with most of the general audience here.
