I agree and don't agree with the saying. What if the bum WAS a millionaire and unfortunately lost all of his or her money? Not only can this bum tell you how to become a millionaire, he can also tell you what NOT to do so that you don't lose all of your money and lose that millionaire status and end up like a bum like him or her.

Just saying...........

I couldn't resist putting in my 2 cents.

But to answer your posts, you should search and read threads. All of the information that you will need is there. I"ve raised turkeys for 10 years and that is my "professional" response to your post.

Perhaps you must go to Turkey to get a degree in Turkey? There's an old country saying, "there's book learning, then there's common sense".

That does make sense!

And now I'm off to find a millionaire to glean some pearls of wisdom.

He is exactly iChat, turkeys are very smart, and sociable with keen senses. They are funny,
Happy and love interaction w/their person. They can be standoffish to stranger and even on guard, especially the Toms. White turkeys are more sociable than bronze. They love their fresh cold water & drink and eat often. I strongly recommend free range, within 3 days just before dark, just clap your hands, do not stress just push the flock back to their inside spot. By the age of 3 months they are eating bugs, grass, weeds, but will absolutely need the bulk of their food from a high protein supplement. Shelter for cooling off in heat is very important.between 3 & 4 months toms will start to Gobble, it is so cute. I'm sure with spending some time w/your flock, you will be happy to see how much they enjoy your company, as you will theirs. Hope this was some help, and enjoy.
