Ramp width?

If you're concerned about the ramp board's width, just go wider on the cleats and let them overhang and double as outside roosts

Thanks for the idea of the wire on the ramp Opa, I used branches as cleats and they really caught the dirt, I'm going to change it to wire. Do you ever have them getting their toes caught under the wire?

They're chickens, I don't worry about dirt.

But I am allergic to trips to the store, so I use whatever is handy!

Opa, great idea on the wire, I even have some around. I also have some narrow trimming strips of hardware cloth.... they're wide enough to wrap the edges even, if I use the 1" x 6" cedar fence pickets I got on sale.
