Hi, i bought a dozen chicks from my feed store about two weeks ago among those i got 4 barred rocks - they were all supposedly pullets, but this little guy/gal has yellow on his chest and face and my other 3 barred rocks are only black & white, and the other 3 also seem to be alot "plumper" then he/she is. I know its waay early but im still curious!

Yes! those are his real feet!

Butt shot!

little better view of comb

Usually I'd say too young, but yes, sorry, cockeral. Oh my gosh the feet are GIANT! And the comb is starting to develop too.

the stance made me laugh a bit lol...there's no slate wash down the frount of the legs which would leave me to say cockerel (cant see the top of his head)...you sure you didnt hide this chicks orginal legs lol they just seem so big in that pic...

nope those are his legs! although the way i took the pic may have caused a little disfigureation..
give me a sec ill post a few pics i have of his head and back maybe that'll help!

Anyone at all think that its a pullet?

or do i got myself a little cockrel?

it almost loos like its got lacing on its wings instead of barring maybe thats just me but i do really want to say its a different breed and not a br...

Looks very Roo-ish to me, because of the way it stands and it's legs.
Whenever we raise meat chicks, we find the cockerels have WAY bigger legs & feet than the hens, in order to support the weight they will eventually gain.

trust me though, roosters are great, especially if you raise them with a lot of attention, they'll be VERY nice!
Happy crowing
