Random Flock Pictures, Just Because

These are both Silver-Laced Wyandotes. Victoria, on the left, is non-SOP with her single comb. Maria Theresa, on the left, has the correct rose comb.

They're hatchery-grade, not show-breeder birds, but IMO, this is the prettiest of all color patterns for hens.
I have a chick that has the same kind of feather pattern. wonder if Lancelot is a silver laced wyandotte.

I love your birds! I'm working on Blue Cochin Bantams right now, and their pattern is supposed to look a lot like the blue australorps. I think I only have 1, maybe 2, that are featherimg in decent. Here is the 1 pullet that I am hopeful in.

She is lovely.

I'm hoping that the splash that hatched last night is a male of good type so I can pair him with my charcoal-colored girls.

My most recent sales were to cull out most of the too-pale girls -- the one above having been kept because she has good lacing.

I just took a few more photos specifically of the various Blue Australorp ladies.

But naturally they turn around or wander out of the frame just as I've gotten a good shot lined up.

My really dark girls:

My first Blue Australorp hen, the one who convinced me that this could be the breed I wanted to focus on:

And a couple of the others:

Forgive the tattered tail feathers. She was broody a couple times this summer and hasn't molted yet.

I'll need to find a few of my handsome boy. only have one or two ones that have been posted over 5 times each. will get some new pictures to show off his glory.
here's my good rooster!
now that I look more closely at his feathers, I don't think he's a Wyandotte. maybe a barnyard mix???
