Some people on our street used to have a large lab that roamed at large. He used to like to come to our pond to swim. The men around here all shot at this thing several times with pellet guns--many of us here have chickens or gamebirds--and this dog learned to stay away. Animal control did end up taking the dog due to numerous complaints.
