RANT so mad at DH!!!!

My children cracked 1 dozen HATCHING eggs in their desk drawer and poured jiffy mix over it. I cleaned it up. Happy Mothers Day. Maybe it was supposed to be a special cake for me????

What? Apologies to you!

I gave up on hoping for a card or anything for Mothers day from the boys. If I am very lucky, my kids call on the phone. They did call this year! And DH bought me two red rose bushes. Bonus! I bought myself two raspberry bushes, a grape vine, three blueberry bushes and a rose bush. So I have some planting to do! Oh yes, DH made breakfast and supper. He is a keeper!

:thumbsup Oh, we would get along just fine! I just don't need a 'day' set aside to make me feel loved... I have the most loving family and I feel treasured every day. My family doesn't have to be told when to show their love and appreciation. And yet... I sent my mother flowers, of course.... she doesn't share my 'commercialized holidays' opinions.

No card doesn't bug me so much, since (to me) it's poda be the kids showing their mom appreciation... now if DH forgets a card on Anniversary/birthday, different kettle of fish... but we were camping all weekend (my idea) so it's not like the kids had the supplies to make a card or anything. But we did have some good times, esp. me and DD as we kept going off to fish and leaving the lazy guys bumming at the campsite!

So, I am posting this HILARIOUS Mother's Day story I once read, to hopefully cheer you up! Here it is:

So, we had this great 10 year old cat named Jack who just recently died. Jack was a great cat and the kids would carry him around and sit on him and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out and nap all day long on this mat in our bathroom.

Well we have 3 kids and at the time of this story they were 4 years old, 3 years old and 1 year old. The middle one is Eli. Eli really loves chapstick. LOVES it. He kept asking to use my chapstick and then losing it. So finally one day I showed him where in the bathroom I keep my chapstick and how he could use it whenever he wanted to but he needed to put it right back in the drawer when he was done.

Last year on Mother’s Day, we were having the typical rush around and try to get ready for Church with everyone crying and carrying on. My two boys are fighting over the toy in the cereal box. I am trying to nurse my little one at the same time I am putting on my make-up. Everything is a mess and everyone has long forgotten that this is a wonderful day to honor me and the amazing job that is motherhood.

We finally have the older one and and the baby loaded in the car and I am looking for Eli. I have searched everywhere and I finally round the corner to go into the bathroom. And there was Eli. He was applying my chapstick very carefully to Jack’s . . . rear end. Eli looked right into my eyes and said “chapped.” Now if you have a cat, you know that he is right–their little butts do look pretty chapped. And, frankly, Jack didn’t seem to mind.

And the only question to really ask at that point was whether it was the FIRST time Eli had done that to the cat’s behind or the hundredth.

And THAT is my favorite Mother’s Day moment ever because it reminds us that no matter how hard we try to civilize these glorious little creatures, there will always be that day when you realize they’ve been using your chapstick on the cat’s butt.

I did have a good mothers day. My DH and I took our oldest DGD who is 2 out to the park went and go ice cream dropped by a friend house it was so cool to just watch our grand daughter explore. There was no fighting no yelling it was great. To the OP I am sorry you had such a bad mothers day why would the make games on mothers day. Oh well next year tell them that what you want and then make it happen. Happy mothers day to everyone.

I usually buy myself things .. this year my son 13 bought me a well needed knife set and a card. he even bought one for me from my husband who hadn't read it yet I could tell when I opened it.. hahah... it was a great day...
