I found out about this during chick days where you fill out the forms when you buy chicks. That information that is passed along voluntarily to NAIS. Since TSC does this, I try not to buy there unless I have to. If I need feed and I'm over there, well it saves me 45 minutes from going to the grain mill. So I've noticed that i get asked for zip for non chicken related stuff, but with feed/hardware used in poultry they always seem to ask for my phone #....

It wasn't like I was going in there to give them a hard time on purpose, I gave them a phone number. It was one they recognized...... she should have left it at that without being snarky to me.

didn't take me very long to do some research on the 'accuracy' of the information on that site.


Reminds me of the whole 'OMG the new lead regulations will make libraries and goodwill close down' nonsense.
