**Rant** TSC and the NAIS!!!!!!!!

That is so weird... granted I am new to keeping chickens, however it'smy local feed store which asks for my phone number and is priced higher than TSC. They are much more friendly and helpful then TSC so I do shop there for some things, however it's TSC which is more affordable and doesn't ask me about the phone #s. Strange huh?

Changing the laws is a great idea IF you have the time, energy, and money to fight the existing laws.

Many people (like our rebel Boyd) are going the path of civil disobedience. Civil disobedience is the path I will be taking if the health care bill passes. I will go to prison before I am forced to buy insurance or pay a fine.

I hope you all remember me as I rot in my cell and send me postcards with pictures of your chickens, ducks and quail on it.

That reminds me of a story!
Our feed store always has to ask if what we buy is being used for 'farm use', and they ALWAYS ask this when we buy animal feed. So one day my mom had a bag of stratch and dog food, 'Is this for farm use?' My mom: 'No, I'm feeding it to my family.'

The guy in line behind almost had a heart attack laughing.

I agree. but it's an uphill battle. Even if you skip the credit cards, cell phones, GPS & discount cards & keep your cash in a mason jar, you've got the IRS & the census.
I reported a theft on my property and the local newspaper printed my full name and full address in the police report column. How I wish I had called the police.

My TSC NEVER asks for your phone number, so I HAVE to make sure they take it, it is for FARM items and I don't have to pay tax on it that way. Figures, those without a number get asked and there's no real need. I also wish TSC would get their s..... together, and other than their Dumor chicken feed and Black oil sunflower seed, the other feed they carry at ours is a waste of good money and extremely overpriced. I can get a good qauality Mare/Foal feed at my local feed mill for less than $9 per 50# and they sell some poor quality (my hogs wouldn't eat it, serious) feed they call Allstock. worthless stuff. They have sweet feed that is almost as bad. Didn't know about the NAIS, interesting. HenZ

Blue Swedish are so regal looking, but buffs have that "troublemaker" look I can't resist!​
