Rant Warning! Really tired of being harrased over voting.

I have a small business in my home. Clients come and go thru the business entrance and these people walk right in as if they were clients. I have No Soliciting signs posted but they ignore them. I now have a small handwritten sign on the front door saying that political people will be fed to the chickens. I have caller id but most of these calls come into my business line as unavailable which is also the way many clients come in. I have no problem getting rid of these people since Im kind of scary even when Im not armed according to...well almost everybody lol. I just feel like this year in particular they are relentless in their pursuit. SInce posting the original post I have had 5 more calls and 2 more in person visits.
Does anyone else feel like this years election is less voluntary and more compulsary? Feels to me like they are saying YOU WILL VOTE or we will harrass you till you do. The atmosphere feels mildly hostile somehow.

I've heard that they will make voting mandatory. Have we lost our freedom to vote whomever we wanted to? Or choose not to vote this time? If there is no politicians I want to vote at this election, would they fine me or make me vote ?

I'd rather vote for myself!

There are even more political commercials than usual. It's the SCOTUS ruling allowing corporations to pump as much money as they want to in to politics. Wouldn't it be cool to have millions of dollars to spend to shape elections?

in our area, just after you vote you just need to change back your status to independent and for some reason it keeps most of the BS from calling/visiting/mailing! it just bothers me that my neighbors put up TONS of signs for the political side they like and everyone that wants to stop by to snap a picture chooses to block the end of my driveway or wake up my dh to 'ask' to park in our driveway when they already are in it!

Wouldn't that just blown the politician's crazy if people all over the united stated all voted by write in "Boyd"??? for every office????? Too funny!!! I can see it now.....2012 elections coming and everyone contacting Boyd to find out how He got so many votes all over the country. Talk about some grass root organizations!

Of course then Boyd would be on that list that the government keeps.......LOL

i get them calling my cell phone, MY CELL PHONE!!!!

, its so annoying cuz im a mobile mechanic and i get calls for work, so i have to answer every call cuz i think its work, but its a dumb political call

Perhaps a small sign near the doorbell that says: I've already voted...don't ask me, please
