Rare Rare Peachick

Deerman do you have any updated pics of the "rare rare peachick"? or ANY unusual peachick pics??

Same 3 peachicks plus one in the back is a spalding charcoal 50%....darker. Think the spalding charcoal is sold, think it is a male....and i have 3 2yr old now , so away he goes.

3 peachicks father was BS split peach..mother BS Peach..about a week between each...note the flight feathers getting more color.

Bet the BS peaches will be beautiful. I am surprised at how rich the peach color is.

PEACH PIED...same peachick few days old then a month old...the crest just starting to grow. My guess female , rather it was a male. maybe w.e. As father is silver pied.

Well just looked in the hatcher. the section with the spalding charcoal eggs, same pen the spalding charcoal pied came from. First 2 peachicks are WHITE.....now these could be white(charcoal) or white split charcoal. Now what if white (charcoal) hen shouldn't lay. But if white split to charcoal hen they will lay........

So far from that pen, have got 3 charcoals, 1 charcoal pied. 1 pied split charcoal, plus lot of chicks split charcoal. now 2 whites. Peacock is a 25% spalding charcoal split pied/white. hens are 25% splading split pied /white and charcoal. So know all these peachicks will be split charcoal.

All this with 2 yr old breeder birds.

I'm curious if you have a pic of a male vs. a female of the Purple BS egg I hatched from you- I'm so antsy about the gender, because if it's not a female I need to get some chicks from you! I went to a swap yesterday, and there was a gal w/ 4-month old birds, but she was a bit shifty-eyed and I didn't feel good about buying from her. She had Java/Spaulding mixes and Java/Spaulding/Pied. Some looked like they would be gorgeous, but no knowing enough and not familiar with any diseases they might carry, I opted out. She told me that with the more pointy/shredded ends on the tails, they were likely male, whereas if the end of the tails were more square or blunt, they were likely female. She said one couldn't tell otherwise. What do you think?

Well she sound a little off....

First can't have a java spalding. Javas are pure green,and spaldings are a cross of blues and greens. Then best way to sex them are with the flight feather color ,or barring as they age.

The spalding are harder to sex. Can't go by the flight feather or barring the hens will have barring also.
