It’s for when they move out of the brooder, don’t worry! And baby quails can fit through those gaps. Not sure if that's the setup for the baby chicks too, though.

Ah okay I’ll just make one or order one, I know they sell large branches To attach to cages for parrots and stuff I’m sure that will workNo. Quail don't perch on dowels.
No... Don't bother. Quail do not perch on branches like parrots do.Ah okay I’ll just make one or order one, I know they sell large branches To attach to cages for parrots and stuff I’m sure that will work

No clue.Oh! Then why’d they tell me to put a branch in… whatever thank you for the help!
Quail are ground birds. They'll be much happier with places to hide than with perches that they won't use.30in wide x 48in long x 33in tall I have a extra dowel perch I don’t use would that work?
Oh my word, I am all kinds of cool nowAre you on a phone? If you are, press down on the like button for a moment and the rest of the emoji options will come up.
I think the height by an issue, but I’m welcoming all corrections. Mine are outside are in an enclosure that is 4’ tall, and they still manage to fly that high. Yours may not, but the advise that was given to me was 12” tall or 4’ tall - anything in between can pose an issue if they pop up.30in wide x 48in long x 33in tall I have a extra dowel perch I don’t use would that work?
Oh I actually have that! I feel like it wouldn’t be very safe though since rats and stuff can fit though, if I use it I’ll probably put something around itSorry, here is a link for something helpful - https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...wp_70HEtOU3V-3sSfxMyH-YuCwb_sD2BoCykkQAvD_BwE
I like the walk in stuff because it also makes it easier to clean. I have a couple of friends who have this (or something similar) and I plan to migrate mine.
