And baby quails can fit through those gaps. Not sure if that's the setup for the baby chicks too, though.

No... Don't bother. Quail do not perch on branches like parrots do.
There is no need to add one of these things.

Quail are ground birds. They'll be much happier with places to hide than with perches that they won't use.

I think the height by an issue, but I’m welcoming all corrections. Mine are outside are in an enclosure that is 4’ tall, and they still manage to fly that high. Yours may not, but the advise that was given to me was 12” tall or 4’ tall - anything in between can pose an issue if they pop up.

I like the walk in stuff because it also makes it easier to clean. I have a couple of friends who have this (or something similar) and I plan to migrate mine.

Oh I actually have that! I feel like it wouldn’t be very safe though since rats and stuff can fit though, if I use it I’ll probably put something around it
