What if it was a boy sandeel?

That's not a sand eel. Are Grunion Runs only a southern California thing??? They're pretty small fish & this one definitely female. They come out of the water in the middle of the night at a certain time of year. The females stick their butts in the sand & lay eggs. The males come ashore next & spin circles around the female to fertilize the eggs. People descend upon the beach in droves, buckets in hand to feast upon these tiny, mating fishes. *WARNING* If you cant handle fish porn, skip the rest of this post.
