I have a habit of calling all of mine "Momma"

I had something similar growing up. My aunt brought me a kitten she rescued and named Angelina. This kitten became my best friend. I used to dress it up in my doll's clothes (of course with a hole cut out for the tail) and walk it around in my doll carriage (even got pictures) and the kitten grew up to be a big fat male tom cat but he only came to the name Angelina. So our neighbors really thought we were nuts!
OMG!! I love this one. I really like the yellow-ish ones as babies!! So beautiful! How many are you hatching?

That one was it... was the last set of eggs from my Snowy pair before she started molting... only one to make it full term... but has a buddy anyways, lol...

I understand how you feel.  It's like you get a name for a burd and it really sticks and as you look at the burd you cannot imagine any other name.

Yup... Bubs will probably always be Bubs... but maybe not... Baby Grey became Lady Grey...

I'm jealous! I miss those pre-teen days when Mako actually wanted us to hold her.

Usually at this age they're too cool to be seen around mom... this is a first...

Ohh its going great, I just got out of school today so hopefully you'll have to deal with a bit more of me

! All the duckies are great, the extension of the aviary starts next week, so I'll have some great updates for all of y'all soon!

WHAT WHAT AND WHAT AND WHY? HOW COME THE VERY SOFT BURD IS 'CAKED ON YOUR HAND AND HIS WEBS ARE DANGLING. THE BIRD IS FLATCAKED BUT THERE'S A ROUNDNESS TO HER BOD. THEN THE FACE. THE FACE IS SWEET. I DON'T REALLY NOTICE THE BEAUTY OF THE BURD'S DARK HEAD WITH WHITE BODY AND ORANGE LEGS AND FEETS BUT RATHER THE CUTENESS OF THE WHOLE SCENE? THE WARMTH OF SOFT BURD.

THEN THE TWO BABIES IN YER HAND. A 'LING AND A CHICK. TWO WARMLETS. ONE HAS WEBS AND THE OTHER FEETS. BUT EVEN THO' ONE IS DUCK AND ONE IS CHICKEN, THEY ARE BOTH BIRD.

I think it's cool that Baby Grey went to Lady Grey. Great progression. Will be fun to find out Bubs' gender once it becomes apparent.
