(Around beak seems like skin irritated, peeled off, feathers surrounding matted.)
New here and to chickens, but in luv. My little girl and two others lived all their lives in a little cage they could barely turn around in. I got all three new ones together, in a bag, feed store said they were all hens. Not, there is one male. But "Second Wife.." is either a dirty girl or has a scrape, maybe from the cage or trying to sneak out of a fence. Now she is free and has no cage, and luvs beside her feed, tangerines, and banana even more. I don't know if I should grab her and try to put some neosporem on?? I mean won't her pecking just rub it off? I adore her and want to nip any problems in the bud. PS, Howlie Americuna's (according to my husband), and approx 2.5 months. If pict would help let me know. Great forum..
