Hello
I just wondered if anyone has had a go at repairs on their rcom, as the spares are really expensieve :-(
i bought the Incubator about 10 years ago, & did a couple of hatches at the time, since then its been in the loft !.
I believe its one of the older ones that use to have humidy sponge pads in the water container, but i have never seen any pads or know where they would go !. As i i understand these & the humidity unit have been replace by an updated version on the newer machines.
websites i have been on say the 2 parts are not interchangeable !, they look similar with the newer one now having a plastic cage around the heater element.
I dont want to buy the later version as its a staggering £60 over here and still may not fit ?

just wondered if anyone has had a go a repairing it & if so where did the source the heater element from ? (or swapping the with the newer version ?)
There is also a water sensor in there with the heater!

I also have water leaking out from the water reservior, where the rubber link tube goes into them. This isnt good as the main board sits above this area & its now quite humid with the water sat below!. i guess i just need to replace the rubber tube so wondered if anyone has a size & source for this please ?

When i first started the incubator, you could hear the fans varying in speeds so i was thinking about replacing them, anyone found some good replacements?

Many thanks
Fred :)

Sorry no one replied. We have done some repairs on our RCOM, including replacing both fans. Let me know if you still need help.

Hello casportpony,
Have you had to replace the main board in a rcom incubator? I have a rcom 20 New! My fans had burnt out and I replaced them but they still wouldn't go so I inspected the boards and found a burnt out voltage regulator! Could you identify the component I've circled in red in the attached image as I can't read the numbers?
