RCom vs. Brinsea

Got to have the evaporation pad there through out the incubation. I just went back to the site and it is under the News column to far right and look for resource room II and click on that, another menu will come up and it is the third one down; (how to use ) Fitting evaporation pad. I don't think it would be wise to use the humidity pump without it. Try the site again and let me know. The video really help me. I couldn't figure it out either with their directions on paper.

anyone have experience with both the suro and the brinsea? I borrowed a brinsea Octagon 10 and it got bumped and tipped over, cracking most of the eggs in it. Assuming I remain clumsy. is the suro more stable?

Jubaby did you get the RCOM 20 or the Suro? They are both RCOM units. The Suro is the one with the smoking deal. Just curious. I like the looks of the design better with the RCOM 20 but do get the humidity control, I think you have to buy the RCOM 20 Pro and the Suro comes with it for $250

I got the RCOM 20 not the SURO. I have set it up and hold temp and humidity well, but I'm still waiting on my eggs. Maybe this week.

Jimmeand boys- I have the suro 20. Just recieved it last week and its up and running. From the instructions we recieved, it appears you have to cut the humidity pad at two different lengths... one length (approximately 2 inches or 50-55mm) for humidity up to 50%, and another length for humidity over 60% (70-75mm or 2 and 3/4 to 3 inches). 1cm=10mm. Convert cm to inches by multiplying cm by .3937. We had to google it... cuz we stink at math. We folded it length-wise and affixed it under the motor with the provided clips... according to the diagram. The water tube should be positioned to drip onto the pad. We will switch to the larger cut piece of the humidity pad when we need to take our humidity above 60% for lockdown. You should have plenty of humidity pad to cut... there should be extra length. The instructions ARE a little difficult to follow... but I guess we did it right because it has been holding temp and humidity EXACTLY for 4 days now. Hope this helps.

Everything I'm reading make me think these two models are the step up from the Hovabator?? Am I correct?

Can you put some links for the web of where you've found the best prices please? Kemps has it on back order. thks

Hello,
What happened with everyone's hatches?

How did the Eco 20 do?

And all the Suros

And Jubaby's RCOM 20?

Inquiring minds need to know.

What were the hatch rates you all got on your new tabletops?
