Reaching out to inactive members

Don't know if this has been discussed already or not, but I was wondering if any effort was made by BYC to send an email to inactive members. Say someone that hasn't been online here in 8-12 months, is there (or could there be) some sort of automated message sent to them saying "hey, we've missed you"?

Maybe just a reaching out to them would be enough to bring inactive members back into activity.

We have to balance trying to get peeps active again with also respecting their space.

We're hoping things like our new weekly newsletters will help re-engage old members that have become less active.

... but if peeps have old friends that aren't around any more, a nice private message checking in on them wouldn't hurt

Thanks for the response. Maybe the newsletter will bring them back if they see something that sparks their interest.
