Ready Set Hatch! Set 3/17 Hatch 4/7 - ready now! Hatch-Along

Ben - those blue australorps are very pretty! Maybe you'll be lucky and get one. I've not seen those here or maybe rarely but I have seen blue jersey giants.

Nothing new here. Really ready for something to happen! My temp is climbing this afternoon, don't know why. I may have to turn it down a bit, do the eggs give off more heat sometimes?

From what I've been told and read is that they can start to regulate their own temp at a certain age in shell, but I don't think it'll mess with the bators temp?

- also powers back on and decided I'd study my questionable duck and turkey egg. Cracked the duck egg and it was scrambled from shipping. Too scared to crack the turkey egg. I really want it to hatch, but I see no veins or nothing just a dark yolk spot. Should I give it more time? ( Its day 7 out of 28 for them)

ooh - i know nothing about turkey eggs but day 7 out of 28 is like day 4 out of 21...well kinda, don't check my math...what I mean is, that's really early proportionately. I'd give it a few more days because once it's cracked it's too late.

I would give it more time. Unless it is smelly it probably isn't going to hurt anything.

Home from work. Day 19 so I don't expect to see anything. Guess what? I can't see anything!
400

my humidity is over 70%...last time I let him eggsit (lol, just kidding.) He didn't know to open more vents. It's drying up a little now. I was worried it may drip on the eggs.
