Well so much for my plans to keep busy. It's going to be raining for several days. ARGH!

I stopped turning on Day 16 and still haven't upped the humidity yet. I did bring it up to 45% as my % loss is ranging from 11%-18%. I'll up it up to 65% once I have internally pippage

Going to be putting the hatch cam up once I have some action! So excited




The one with the "?" looks very strange in there. There are blood vessels in edges where the air cell should be and the mass inside the egg doesn't look right. i left it in there before the veins are nice and juicy buuut I think something might be wrong with it.

Lockdown at @pm friday for me too. Its going SOOOO slow! When do we typically start seeing internal pipping? And how do you see it if your incubator is in lockdown?

That was Maria a kinkajou it's a long story she is sick and I didn't feel like going back to work Last night after rescuing her from the back of a truck after she escaped from a local petting zoo. She is so sweet, she stayed at the house last night.
Yes the chick did hatch on it's own I also have one with what appears to be a prolapsed rectum but it's hard to tellthrough the window. As of right now I have 4 healthy and completely out chicks two welsummers a black copper maran and a splash maran.

All seem to be developing well, one cracked slightly but i patched it up with nail polish and when i candled it it was definately still alive wigglin all over!

I was hoping to get a splash marans but only had one egg and it never developed. Oh well - I do have a blue copper developing nicely.
Just did our final candle - all 21 are going to lockdown!!! I got everything resituated and closed the lid...maybe I should duct tape it shut...
