Wow I woke up and was trying to figure out what day it was, went in to look at the eggs and...I HAVE 3 PIPS! Two Basque crosses and one PB Basque! Had to up my humidity because it had dropped to 50%, but we're sitting at a good humidity now.

I was hoping to see some action myself, but I think this one may be a bit behind our last hatch. Sigh.....more patience required!

Just candled and locked down! Had to toss one that seemed to die on day 14? Also had to toss a duck egg out of the batch due the 26th of april. So that leaves 22 out of 23 due Monday and 6 out of 7 due the 26th. Though I got 2 questionable ones in that batch can't see to well in those 2 ( a B.R turkey egg and a dark grey Cayuga/b.swedish egg) ugh and I really want the turkey to hatch!! Lol.

I know what you mean - I work all day too. I left my husband at home on egg duty...he didn't even know they didn't need to be turned anymore...I seriously question his ability to take care of the situation

Powers out and its sunny as all get out. Been out for 30 mins. Temp in bator reading 90. Ugh. Hopefully my eggs will be okay, have some in lock down and my duck and turkey eggs. :/

Nothing new here. Really ready for something to happen! My temp is climbing this afternoon, don't know why. I may have to turn it down a bit, do the eggs give off more heat sometimes?
