Ready Set Hatch! Set 3/17 Hatch 4/7 - ready now! Hatch-Along

So its been 23 hours since the first egg pipped... The chick has made a lil bit of progress but I noticed the membrane is white. My humidity has stayed between 70-80%... Should I turn off my fan incase that is causing the membrane to dry out? I'm worried that the chick is stuck BC it hasn't really rotates any in the last 22 hours.. Just made the hole a lil bit bigger

woot #8 just got out. ;-) Now there is at least one chick from each hen's eggs. Look like they are going to be cuties, too. Oh what am I saying! All chicks are cute!

Gaaaah, we're at 29/39 now with a few more pips left and still some movement. 2/39 were confirmed expired, 2 are pipped for now, and the rest are...who knows!

I did have one of the cornish come out with a crossed beak and what looks like a skull deformity, so I contacted the guy about how he wanted me to proceed. I may have to cull my first chick :(. I assisted Bilbo a little more because he was gearing up to hatch but his face was glued to the membrane. His head is free now and I'm just waiting for him to kick out when he's ready :)

I would try some chick electrolyte drink first or some vitamin drops. Maybe it was positioned wrong - well this is the one that pipped wrong right? Maybe it needs time to strengthen neck. Check out this thread : https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/693903/quail-chick-with-weak-neck/0_10

He's doing better now he's lifting his head up more and trying to walk the other baby is almsot all the way fluffed and so is he. :) that's what prayer will do! :D

Update on other eggs 8 have pipped and looks like some are trying to zip. :DD
Yay!!

Update on other little end pipped egg I don't think it ment to pip there but its not all the way through. I cracked away at the air cell and he's no where near done absorbing the main vein is still very full so I just wrapped him up and put him back in the bator.

Hopefully some will hatch before church if not I hope they start popping when I get back! :D

2 problems with my 16 so far. Hopefully minor. I have the one with the slightly protruded navel, otherwise is doing great - navel seems to be shrinking quickly. Then my barred rock has wiry feathers on its back - like they're singed... otherwise fine. I'm keeping an eye on it in case the others peck at its pink skin since the feathers are sparse. If they do I'll paint it with blu-kote.

Getting ready for work... Still wiggly in there. Maybe something new will happen. I actually gave them a pep talk about how great the big old world will be outside of the egg...they wiggled a lot during our little chat. I think they hear me
