Ready Set Hatch! Set 3/17 Hatch 4/7 - ready now! Hatch-Along

Id guess Bo/Br then and a girl since she'd get dad's red gene :) I'm not well educated on the whole sexlink thing, just from reading. Based on book knowledge only...for fun I'd guess from left
Bo/SLW female,Bo/SLW male, BO?, Bo/br male (white spot on head?, no red), Bo/br female. :)

Cool. I'm gonna write that down and keep track of them to see what we get.

The BO/BR is sex-linked, and is a male based on his down color. Also, if the one below it is also from the BR by any chance it is a pullet, as that's the down color the female chicks have in that pairing :)

Here's five that hatched so far, labeled by breed. They're all our barnyard mix with one pure BO in the center. Not sure about the one on the far right, look at the dark legs! They're all adorable though. Hoping for some girls. I have two wheaten marans eggs pipped now.

Please - let me know! I'd love to know if I've actually learned anything from all these books! Hey - when yours hatch, do your wheatens all have a dark dot on head? I think I ended up with 3 instead if 2 but 2 have dot and the "mismarked" egg does not have a dot but is all yellow like them.

All my babies are here *happy dance* First time incubating, with a DIY foamabator, set 12 eggs. 2 were yolkers, 1 was an early death at 5 days. The 9 left all hatched and are doing great. So Stoked! Once they are fluffed up and outta the bator, I will take some pics :)

The BOxSLW is NOT a sex-link.

Here's what I use as reference :)

So I'm down to one egg, the one that just passed had its aircell develop off center slightly (weird!) and that made it position incorrectly. The other however has pipped internally. It is in a HUGE egg, so I made a tiny air hole just in case...

I hope your huge egg makes it!

Oh Oops! Was one of those are golden laced, I must have missed that! I think we agree on the barred rocks though. Upper boy. Lower girl.

No it was an SLW, I typed it wrong haha. But still not a sex-link as you need a different rooster

I hatched out 3 BOxBR pullets and they were just darling. I'm down to one now, and she is a HOG but friendly and gorgeous!

This was when she was younger. They are also GREAT layers!
