really creeped out right now

I'm the same way, at night the smallest noises scare me. Once my cat was outside, it was 1 am or so and I saw her jump up and she made the loudest screech and of course it was raining and of course lighting had flashed at that moment

it was a horror scene to me. Also doesn't help that my dog Copper sometimes barks, at ME and hes fat so he could weigh my down (he only barks at me because I'll scare HIM)

Yes, I remember you saying you had mice from when you answered my thread about which pocket pet was best. Sorry to hear your mice escaped and came back pregnant. Things happen sometimes.

At least she is back now though!

I am from California, but have lived in Fla. for 25 years. You never leave the doors unlocked, anywhere, anytime.
I had a guy walk right into our house when we were moving in, just to say hi, funny thing was, he wasn't a neighbor........Why take a chance??????????????

if someone was trying to break in at my house, I'll very calmly get the 9mm or the smith&wesson 38 but its real hard to miss with a shotgun. You can't be too skittish with firepower around or be too afraid to use it either. And whether you have guns in your home or not, children must STILL be educated and taught to respect them. And I am of the school "if you ask permission to see and hold a gun" it is not forbidden. But you must ask to be shown it and know how to handle it properly or your turn is over. Of course the first thing you teach children is that you must assume every gun is loaded. No matter how you feel about guns in your house, you need to be prepared and educate since they might come across them somewhere else. And don't just say, "you can never handle guns"
