I vote for Western WA. Grew up primarily in New England, moved out here after college and marrying my college sweet heart.
I love how green it is here year round....The Evergreen State. Even in the dead of winter, it's not dull brown/gray like New England. We do have 4 seasons, but it is generally mild. However, last December we did end up with almost 30" of snow, which was record breaking. This summer we broke heat records as well...Global warming I guess.
It's not nearly as wet as everyone thinks it is. And even if it has been gloomy for a time, it makes you appreciate the beauty of the area when the sun comes out all the more. We have mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, the ocean, all within and hour's drive. We live in Snohomish County. Can be pricey the closer you get to Seattle/Belleveu, but worth it in my opinion.
