Hova -Bator...1) with or without turner? I can turn my own but is the fluctuation in temp when turning my own that critical?
2) still air verses turbo air...one better than the other or not? Why?

Please help, I'm so confused!

the fan circulates the air, keeping the temps a bit more steady over longer periods of time.

I have a turner, but right now im doing it by hand because i have to many eggs in there. Its open, maybe 3 mins, turn, turn turn, close. 2 or 3 times a day. No different from mom getting off, eating, drinking and poty.

My old incubator I hand turn..I don't find that a problem keeping the temps up... I have a new Hova 1583 and the turner just debating if I want to use the turner is all....I like hand turning...and if you have your temps set right there shouldn't be any problems....

I'm running my hovabator 1583 with fan, no turner, right now. I turn two times a day and the temp has stayed constant throughout. On day 11 and ran it almost 4 days before setting eggs in it. Humidity isn't a big issue either. I just add water every other day.

I like hand turning..some don't plus they don't have the time...its your call...lol...

It's addicting what can I say....

Thank you all for your help, I did order my incubator last night!
One more question...when you hand turn, do you wear gloves or just wash thoroughly before to remove the oils from your hands?
Sorry for all the question, just want to do it right!

I don't wear gloves...Just wash and dry your hands good before and after handling and turning....
