The Strawberry Zingers worked great for possums also. He has caught about 12 possums. The Zingers also got 2 squirrels, 1 cardinal, the neighbor's black cat (2 times). I think my mother in law has gotten all the holes in her soffitts fixed so she hasn't been setting the traps. I think she misses the racoons coming up to her patio door and cupping their paws around their eyes to look in. We still have traps set around our chicken coop but havn't caught anything in a long while. Only caught 1 racoon, 6 possums, the cardinal, squirrels and cat at our house. Two years ago we had several coyotes running the neighborhood. A coyote that was obviously nursing pups snatched one of my hens that was scratching right next to me in the garden in the middle of the day! I think the city finally caught and relocated them. We had a coopers hawk that was casing our coop. Even went in the barn and perched at the door, perched in the stall next to the coop and over the coop in the rafters. But havn't seen him either. Maybe they are migratory in our area. I still havn't let the girls our to free range. Maybe in the spring for an hour or so at sunset with someone watching. It's a shame since we have 2 acres.
