Record Keeping

Great tracker for a small flock.
Yeah! Out of the 5 hens each one is a different breed so it's easy to track eggs per hen... I'm sure it would be very hard to track egg/hen if you had all the same type! I think for our backyard flock we will just keep adding different breeds as time goes on!
 
I don't really keep records but do keep a sort of Coop Log. At the end of each day I keep notes of any ill chickens, treatments, any supplements I'm trying, anything odd I noticed going on with the chickens or in the coop. It's more active in the spring when I'm raising chicks.
Keeping a log or journal makes it easier over time to see patterns that may indicate illnesses emerging and other health problems.
