Recurring Dreams

Not sure how much traction I'll get on this, but...who else has recurring dreams? Give me a short synopsis (and please keep it BYC-friendly). I'd be interested to see how many are shared. I'll go first:

I'm driving and the brakes don't work.

I have a dream once in a while where I meet up with some people I know (but I only know them in my dream, never met them in real life).

It’s really hard to explain, but I find it fascinating!

Do you meet up with the same people every time? Or does your brain make new ones?

You'd think I would STOP DRIVING (like use the terrain to slow myself down), but nope. The dream just eventually moves on.

Same people - a man in his late twenties who works at a grocery store, and a woman with a five-year old boy.

That's crazy! I wonder if they're based on real people you encountered in the past, maybe when you were little. Either way, it would freak me out a bit to keep dreaming about people I don't know!

For a while I dreamt that I was fighting bears. Sometimes it was black bears, but usually it was grizzly bears, never polar bears. When I dream of polar bears they are always nice

I started having recurring bear dreams since moving to New Hampshire (where we get bears in the backyard)! But I can't say that I fight them. It's usually a my pants and try to get back in the house scenario.

Most of the time I saw the bear on my property and went to drive it off. Yes, I did win

I was also dealing with a difficult person IRL at the time so I imagine the dreams were a reflection of that

That's a very interesting perspective. It makes a lot of sense.

It's funny that your dream polar bears are always friendly, when statistically they're the most likely to try and eat you. The white fur and teddy bear face are very disarming.
