My golden comet has been broody for the last several days. Today I got her out of the nesting box and noticed the feather on her breast bone area is bare and red. She is also missing feathers on her neck. l know it’s molting season and I assume that is the reason but I just want to know for sure. Thanks in advance!

Broody patch if she's broody.
They pluck the feathers so the skin can come into contact with eggs they are sitting on.
