Red bulbs -- why can I only find 25w or 250w?

Like someone else stated they have different colored flood light bulbs that are very inexpensive and come in 100 watts. I have bought the red ones before and they work great! For my poorly insulated outdoor coop last year when it was -40 for a long time I used a 250 watt heat lamp on 24/7, during the day the pop door was open to the draft free run so it didn't really keep it too warm, at night it kept it above freezing when the pop door was closed.

i got the 100 watt at the pet store.....but i stopped heating my coop my leghorn doesnt like that as soon as i install the red bulb she stopped for 4 weeks i took it out and put in a 90 watt light bulb just over the water so it wont freezing and she started laying everyday.......

I got a thermostat for my coop for about $20 online. I set it to go on at 35 and off at 45 so my girls stay cozy and I have peace of mind. I use either 150 or 250 watt red bulb that I get at the feed store and the thermostat does all the work:)
