Red Egg with Rubber shell.

I have six chickens, five different breeds. The are fed commercial feed, have lots of water, and free run in the backyard. I found this egg in the nesting box about 6pm. It appears the "egg" is red in color with a black dot. The "egg" was outside of the rubber shell. Looking for ideas and information.

Sort of looks like an intact Follicle. Do you still have it? If you do, can you cut it open

The video you provided was exceptionally informative - Thank you for posting it. I believe it was an intact follicle based on the information provided. I had already disposed of the items in question.
