I opened two of Katie's eggs for breakfast and both had blood spots. One of them had large, protruding blood spots.

I've not seen blood spots that protrude so much.

Should I be worried?

I believe blood spots are nothing to worry about if it’s only temporary. One reason is possibly large eggs in young laying hens why a blood vessel is torn.
Maybe someone else can tell you more.

Thank you. She's an older hen but it is early in her season, so maybe that's why.
