i just bought some deathlayer eggs in an eBay auction. The seller packaged them very well and they arrived in only a couple days. However many of the air cells move so I do have them in the incubator and I am not turning them currently. In addition, a couple of the eggs candled red instead of the typical yellow-orange. Can someone tell me what that means?

Shipped eggs can be a headache as im curently finding out :he
All but three of mine had detached aircells so ive incubated them upright in cartons, they are now at day 15 and so far so good.
Ive turned and moved them very slightly for the last couple of weeks.
The aircells have now re attached (although saddled) and ive recently started a thread asking if i should lay them on their side at lockdown, the consensus seems to be to leave them as they are.
Unfortunately though shipped eggs in this condition tend to have late quitters.

I generally dont even bother candling till at least day 5 at which point you can nearly always see some sort of progress with the embreyo.

Right, some of mine have re-attached but some haven’t. :fl

I candled them on arrival but was surprised to see some a different color.

I will be curious to see how your hatch turns out!
