As far as laying I really don't want to play egg hunt on 2.61 acres lol. My mother in law got two new hens, one about a year hatchery blue laced red Wyandotte, and an 8 month old EE that I'm assuming was sold as an Aricana. We got the 1 year old to lay in the coop just by her other one year old hen laying in there but the 8 month old we've looked practically everywhere even under her house where they spend their days as well and nothing. The lady they were bought from said that she doesn't lay every single day right now but every other day to every two days and she was pretty sure was an Olive egger. I'm thinking she sold the wrong one and that its younger than we are thinking.
