As much research I do on my own (which is always a lot) I am still convinced to post for actual personal experiences.
I saw a fox out back a couple night ago and since then we have had LOTS of tracks allllllll around the coop. No digging, no tugging, just tracks.
If this if a fox or whatever, will it give up or start to dig and try to get to my flock? In my mind this animal has been scoping for a couple days and is going to make its move any night.

I'm wrong. Those could be fox. When I blew that one up bigger that's off by itself in the top picture, I see claw marks. Cats won't leave claw marks. You may be right that it's fox.

Looks like cat tracks, not fox. Fox paws are more oval, and the stride would be longer. Also if a fox wanted to get your chickens, it would likely dig or rip at the wire, unlike a cat who would just pass through.
