I read a post here called "Establishing Feral Chicken flock" from 2020. It ran for 12 pages, it was very interesting. By the way, did you know that there was an attempt to establish Red Junglefowl in the USA as a wild game bird decades ago. Scientists / conservationists chose the Southern USA for this because this area was the most favourable place for the introduction. You can read about it here, link https://digitalcommons.georgiasouthern.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1762&context=etd

I read a great book that basically gave a history of how chickens became domesticated. It talked about the red jungle fowl a lot. It is called "Why did the Chicken Cross the World." By Andrew Lawler.

This is a prime example of pure looking RJF. As you probably know the ear lobes range from red to white depending on the subspecies.

Junglefowl would most likely be my second favorite bird (chickens obviously being the first favorite). They are majestic, and it is even better when I get to see a picture or video of a pure one, rather than one heavily tainted with chicken genetics. I see no issue with bringing junglefowl into the United States, they would probably not get too invasive as long as they are adequately controlled. So many people would be shooting and eating them anyway, knowing how people are here.

They are beautiful, but we don’t need any more invasive species.
Humans have thoroughly destroyed the North American ecosystem already. Red Junglefowl would simply be filling an empty ecological niche, hence why scientists wanted to introduce and establish them so badly

Before you use the word "invasive" contemplate the devastation already wrought by humanity
