Red Laced Cornish X and project talk (pics p. 8)

Hey guys, Dad's birds are scheduled to be NPIP inspected Saturday. I will try to get some better photos while up there. Will probably float some of the blue laced red Cornish project hatching eggs in a auction here shortly.

I'm going to get my NPIP as soon as my meaties & the mud are gone, 7 weeks

They're being saved for Mahonri's BYC Easter Hatch; I'll have the oldest, and the freshest eggs are going to someone fairly local

joining that hatch also. I had to order another bator [this one with forced air circulation] so I can set up to 84 eggs for the hatch.

Only my two dark cockerals are show quality, the WLRCs are hatchery sourced, but I hope the cross produces nice chicks..................... and there's even a possibility the big CX might have got one fertile also.

PS I read The Prophet many years ago, loved it, need to read it again someday

I
need new pictures now that their shanks have thickened and heads developed; but the two boys have been fighting and have broken feathers sticking up everywhere. Looks like they got it settled and the younger one became top dog; but lost the tip of his beak somehow in the process....................... the older had a swollen head with very few feathers left on it. I may have to seperate them soon because they seem not to accept defeat easily.
