Hi there. One of my chickens had a larger than normal, very smelly poo/pee this morning. It had a few undigested food pellets and looked to be bloody. Not bright red like a cut but like a brick red color. There looked to be a solid white blob of poo in there too. We added a few new chickens almost 4 weeks ago and one of them died in her sleep last Monday so now I’m pretty nervous. All of them are acting fine, running around the yard. I don’t know which chicken it was because my back was turned. They are all between 5-6 months old. Any advice?

Did you happen to get some photos?

What do you feed including treats?
Do you provide a source of grit (crushed granite)?

Okay I just found out my husband put nitrogen fertilizer down with grass seed and didn’t tell me. I get off work at 12 and will go home and get the flock out of the yard. How do I fix it?

Do you think they ate the fertilizer? Any birds sick?

I agree, I would go ahead and treat with the Corid for Coccidiosis.
