Red shoulders on Easter eggers

The first bird, that's not the "red shoulders" of a cockerel.....your bird has a lovely, even pattern with color extending beyond patchy, red shoulders...and is a pullet
Now, the second bird, that is classic brick red shoulder/ patchy colors of a cockerel

Yeah, like I said. Easter Egger Allan Poe was pretty easy to identify as a cockerel at 2-3 weeks lol

I think she’ll turn out like this

Your easter eggers are beautiful. They can come in a multitude of colors and patterns, both hens and roos. Most common for roos though (I think) is red. I have EEs of my own and have one hen that was practically identical to my roo of the same age, big red. So much so that I couldnt even tell them apart until he started crowing and she started laying.

so far, this is the only EE cockerel I see:

Yeah my hope is that Easter Egger Allan Poe (this one pictured) and Rooster Cogbarne (the little runty barnevelder cockerel seen in some of the pictures) are my only roosters. If so I can keep them both.

Thanks. I'm very happy with the breeder I selected and amazed at the color variety, blues, and barring I'm seeing in the EEs in my flock.
