Red Star are the best. Your white red star is a young Roo. The hens are red and the Roos are white. No sexing here. How great is that.
Best wishes,
Cindy
Thanks!! I'm not experienced and did pay extra to have pullets, not sure why Meyers didn't catch that;(
I'm thinking of adding a 6 week old into my 9 week old flock. I'm gettibg it from the same place which gets there's from Meyers. Do I quarantine? My husband does not want anymore babies in the house
so it needs to be in the coop with the others, yes I'm using a seperation methods to ensure it won't be killed. How long do I need to do this?
They are a great breed. I am happy I gave them a try. I also have 12 RIR's that are a year old this month and they are laying from 9-12 eggs a day.. I am going to sell 6 of the babies and most of the RIR's so if anyone is interested I am in Crawford County, Ga. Here are some pics of the Babies and the Adult hens.. The 6 week old Red Star Hens I am asking $8. each and I have six available and the RIR hens $12. each and have 10 available. Send me a message if you are interested.. Pick up on site only!
