Also, that's a lot of birds. Are you keeping them all or do you sell them or ??? Not trying to be nosey but just amazed and curious. I understand if you don't want to say.

The buzzing is probably my neighbor's AC Unit, I'm so use to it I didn't notice it.

Iim still in my "What's my favorite breed(s)" phase of chicken keeping . . .I plan to sell the ones I'm not particularly fond of i.e. the striped game bantams, and my older RIRs (not in the video) and split the rest of the pullets with a friend.

He can't keep roosters, but I can. He also doesn't want to deal with raising chicks and I can't get enough of em, lol.

He wants to breed Jersey Giants, so I agreed to keep a breeding flock of his birds and split my pullets between us. That way if anything happens to one of our flocks, neither of us have to start from scratch.

I sleep ok until a few days before lockdown. When we get to that point I'll probably be sleep deprived and this thread might get a little weird, lol.

Can someone please explain to me why I'm still looking at hatching eggs and chicks?

I have 26 chicks in the brooder pen and 32 (maybe less) eggs in the incubator.

I might need an intervention

I've decided I'll wait until Friday the 15th (day 13) to re-candle the questionable eggs. Lockdown is in on the 20th and I plan to re-candle all the eggs that day, so it won't be as long a stretch to wait.
