Redinator's First Hatch-Along w Bonus Broody: And Everything Thereafter

Last night I noticed the incubator chicks (nearly 6 weeks old) were all snuggled in with the TSC chicks (nearly 13 and 14 weeks old) . I'll try to get a picture tonight.

How sweet!! When I first put my 2 youngest groups together, they were like 1 week and 3 weeks. When they started sleeping all snuggled up, I thought it was the cutest thing.

To me it's a sure sign they're integrated. So far this was the most difficult integration I've done since there was such a large age gap.

The next integration will be even more difficult with my friend's Jersey Giants. He doesn't handle his chickens so I'll have to get them use to me first, then Daisy, then all the other chickens.

Daisy is my biggest concern since it'll be the first time I'm bringing in nearly grown birds that haven't been around dogs. It'll be interesting to say the least.

Yeah it sounds like you've got your work cut out for you with that! I hope it goes smoothly and they come around to you.

Oh BTW Buckbeak, the EE, is defiantly a cockerel. He's the sweetest male I have he doesn't come over for pets, but he doesn't run for his life when I go to pick him up.

When I was scratching his beard and muffs earlier today he leaned into it and his comb and wattles flushed, like he was blushing . . so damn cute!
