No sedation needed.

What did she fill the syringe with? Why did the bird you helped have a solid pus and this bird had a liquid one?

I think she flushed with saline. And listen to everything she says and I think at one point she mentions "chunks" or "chunky", so I think she got chunks out too. Not sure why that one had so much mucus instead of a big lump, but it does happen.

How do you know it's LL and not oviduct cancer that spread?

I can't know for certain these are LL tumors, but I have every reason to suspect it is because a necropsy on a cockerel several years back confirmed LL is living in my flock.

Before, when a chicken has died and I suspected it was LL, they've been around one year. Since Molly was five, that puts a little more weight in the oviduct cancer column.
